They're absolutely doing my head in - looking scratty and like I should be doing a walk of shame! Awful things.

Cant get a salon appt until the back end of next week. Can I do it myself?

Yes, cotton bud and olive oil. But be very careful not to pull your own lashes out!

Cordial11 · 31/12/2019 08:46

I wouldn’t - you will ruin your own

nearlynermal · 31/12/2019 08:48

Anything oily, eg oil based makeup remover, olive oil, sweet almond oil etc. should dislodge them eventually if you're desperate, but as pp said, go gently.

Argh. Scared I'm going to bald myself! This is rubbish! Never again!

I hated extensions. Maybe next time try LVL? I know I’m not helping your current situation...

haggistramp · 31/12/2019 10:03

i took mines off 3 days ago sans oil. Whilst i am not bald, im definitely threadbare so to speak. Have still another week of holiday so hopefully some will have grown back and i can whack on some mascara. Tbf, i think i was going to feel bald anyway when i took them off. But so worth the feeling to rub my eyes again :D

ginyogarepeat · 31/12/2019 10:29

Wouldn't do LVL either - had a recent disaster with that as well, has ruined my lashes Angry hope you get sorted OP!

Mine gradually dropped off & I just used a warm flannel to soften the glue of the rest &they came away without damaging my own lashes.

Laughsandgiggles · 31/12/2019 10:35

I got extensions and hated them. Used olive oil and a cotton bud to remove them after 3 days. Didn't do too much damage to own eyelashes but eyes were a bit stingy for a while afterwards.

goingtoneedabiggercar · 31/12/2019 10:39

I got a bowl of hot water and a towel and steamed them to loosen them then I got olive oil and cotton wool. Didn't loose many of my own eyelashes at all. I hated them too. They looked lovely but drove me potty.

bbcessex · 31/12/2019 11:05

As @goingtoneedabiggercar said - I've taken mine off with very little damage to my own lashes the same way.

Head over bowl of steaming water, covered by towel
Olive oil rubbed into lashes
Steam for at least 10 minutes (horrible!)
Olive oil on cotton pads, gently rub lashes and they should come off.
