I am at the pool for DS2s swim training. I'm here for 2 hours and have sat on the quiet side of the pool with my laptop because I just cant do 2 hours of small talk this morning.

Deckthehallswith · 31/12/2019 06:58

@bunnybigears how old is your ds?
It's hard to make small talk for 2 hours Shock

I've been awake since 5.40 because I have an appointment at 8am and need ambulance transport to get there. You always have to be ready to leave at least 2 hours in advance.

@Usuallytootiredbuthappyanyway best of luck with your appointment today, I hope all goes well Flowers

@MusicTeacherSussex how are you putting up with that? Does he realise it's compromising your health?

@Deckthehallswith he is 9. He usually only does morning training on a Saturday but over the Christmas hols the timetable is all to pot and we have done 5 mornings in a row! 2 days off after this thank God!

RemoveAllPicturesOfRon · 31/12/2019 07:14

@deckthehallswith yes, the Xmas chocolate breakfasts have helped me get through this last week! Tricky Christmas for various reasons, and I am finding the only peace I can quite regularly between 4 and 6am!

MusicTeacherSussex · 31/12/2019 07:24

@deckthehallswith I've been trying to get him to understand but he insists there's nothing to be done so the next step is to mention the dangers of sleep apnoea and try to scare him a bit. Its probably that as he isn't rested despite sleeping... SNORING for nine plus hours a night and spending his day needing after work naps, mood swings, depression etc. We are only 29 years old and fit and healthy otherwise, healthy BMI etc.

Thankyou for asking, been feeling really alone. I'll be back in the spare bed I reckon once I'm back to work. I bought a nice one so at least its comfy :(

TwoZeroTwoZero · 31/12/2019 07:26

We have an appointment with the paediatrician at 9.30 this morning so dh set the alarm for 7.30. Except he set it for 6.30, woke the whole householiday up and didn't realise until he'd made a coffee. Now we have an hour to kill before getting ready and setting off.

Been awake on and off all night. Have managed to catch a bit of a bug? Was in bed at 11pm but then had to wake DPmat 1am as I was cold, shivering, feeling very sick. Have a bit of health anxiety so this is hard for me.

DP settled me on the sofa (my choice) with some water, a bucket, some paracetamol and some mints. I've tossed and turned ever since.

Baby probably needs to go to the Dr (cough, cold but she seems a bit wheezy) and I'm meant to work today - thankfully from home - I support a sales team and today is the last day they can bring in any deals to make their targets so I'm expecting it to be busy.

My stomach is gurgling, my head is banging. I will be in bed as soon as later.

Thankfully my lovely MIL will take the kids and I can have the laptop next to me whilst I lay of the sofa with a bucket. Dr surgery is across the road so I can hopefully get an appt and nip in quickly.

How are all the early risers doing now?
I'm really tired and wish I could go for a nap

Bunnybigears · 31/12/2019 13:50

I've now had a big pub lunch and have joined the dog in my head for a power nap otherwise I will never see midnight.
