Under 30g sugar for me today, very much enjoying mealsand not getting hungry inbetween. Bee, I totally agree MFP is a slog at first. I found that I eat 15-20 foods 99% of the time, so once they are saved in my food diary it's easy to add them on another day. How are you all doing?

Good to hear you are succeeding Chicken. I am staying in track. I'll weigh myself tomorrow, I won't have lost anything, but hope to have stopped gaining weight. Just done a weights session. I need to rebuild the muscle mass 6 months of inactivity has wasted, so I can increase my BMR and loose some fat. Good luck to all.

Chicken you sound like you are doing great, keep going ! Dont get disheartened!
My boys were back to school today and so had a busy day catching up with house stuff. Had a lovely lunch of sliced turkey breast meat, with yogurt and cucumber topped with crushed walnuts. Lots of black pepper on top -delish! It doeant sound it but it was really nice! Wasnt hungry at tea time so just left it. Thing is now I'm getting nibbly and its far too late to be snacking lol. I shall just have to wait for breakfast and put it down to a lesson learnt! Is it just me or when you stop actually eating the sugar the cravings really do subside very quickly. X

I love walnuts Bee! You are doing well. I'm still on track, not getting hungry between meals and yes, the craving for sugar has gone. My weight is the same, as expected. I reckon I was eating a packet of biscuits a week, stopping eating them has eliminated about 1600 calories from my weekly intake which won't show up as a loss yet. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Hi Chicken! Congratulations on your 9 pound loss :-). I'm still working on sugar free, kind of lapse one a week and fall face first into a bowl of ice cream or a plate of biscuits, but I'm a few pounds down and have retrained my taste buds. Best wishes to you.

Xylitol is a good sugar alternative, plant based with health benefits and wont screw with your blood sugars.
Clicked on this thread as interested to what everyone else is doing/thinking re sugar.
If you are having cravings try a tsp of glutamine with a sp of cream mixed. Glutamine mimicks glucose in the brain and stops the cravings.
Never ceases to amaze me the amount of sugar and different names you find on one product ingredient list.

Hi! I'm currently going sugar free and looking for some moral support. Is anyone on this thread still going?
