Organised people can you please grace us with your knowledge and tips.

I'm ok with cleaning and my house is pretty organised and up together.

What I fall down on is meal planning, remembering to look in my diary, and losing my purse/keys/phones ect. I've set up online shopping lists before but I then end up with gone off food in the fridge.

I'd like to become organised this year. I've been organised before but can't seem to remember how I managed it!

purse & keys - have a 'home' for them and make sure they always go there.

meal planning:
I do 2 shopping sessions a week on Mondays and Thursday/Friday.
I write on a shopping list pad.
I write the days I am shopping for down the LHS.
I note down against the day if anyone is out, or if it needs to be a quick meal (looking at family calendar in hall)
I then plan meals with reference to anything still in fridge.
Then I add fresh items for each meal to shopping list on RHS at appropriate way down according to layout of supermarket.
Then I open each cupboard in turn to see what's not there and add it to the list at appropriate place according to supermarket.

After I've been shopping I keep the list so I remember which meal for which day.
