She's moved away from YA fiction this year but is finding adult fiction often a bit heavy going- she's very 'young' still (long may it last).

I hit gold with Gone With the Wind at Christmas and she's enjoying Captain Corelli's Mandolin. She's read most of the classics now I think.

So she's done all the Divergent, Malorie Blackman etc?

How about

  • John Wyndham
  • Graham Greene
  • HE Bates
  • Terry Pratchett

Yep- she didn't like Divergent and got through a few of the Malorie Blackman but hasn't re-read it.

Graham Greene would be a no, I think- although the only one I know from him is the CIA and the journalist one.

Terry Pratchett is someone I've never particularly read either, so I might get a house copy and see, thank you.

Sarah Dessen
Three Crowns
Mistborn

I don't see how she can be down with YA, I'm 25, have an MA in English and still mostly read YA...

Try using goodreads to find similar titles to ones she's liked and try the New Adult sections. That's age 18-25
