How would you spend NYE alone?

My DH will be out volunteering and DC are small so will be in bed. I'll be alone from 8.00pm ish....how would you spend it?

I'm thinking of a film and the remains of the christmas but wondered if anyone had anything more inspired....!

I almost always spend NYE alone in my flat. I usually get one of those half-sized bottles of champagne and have steak and chips for tea, then either watch a film if there's a decent one on, or read whatever books I got for Christmas.

This year, it will be The Testaments, if I don't finish it tonight, or The Secret Commonwealth, with my "most listened 2019" Spotify playlist on in the background. If only for the amusement value when it throws up a track that I definitely haven't listened to before.

Takeaway or nice food of your choice with a box set that you will enjoy.

We are having new year's at home this year instead of going out. We are having some nice picky food, a cheese board and some lovely wine.

I'll have a nice bath then we will watch a good film (or avengers because who doesn't want to watch their bottoms while drinking a delicious honey mead wine 😁)

Light my posh candles, dim the lights, open some expensive wine and some expensive chocolates. Paint my nails. Go to bed early.

DD is away and I wont get home until 6.30 from work so I fall in the door from a knackering day, turn on ps4, have dinner, then play til I start to nod off on the sofa, then I'll go to bed.

In bed with a good book, a large glass of knock off baileys and some chocolate. It's just me and 4 yo ds so that is my actual plan. Ear plugs will be firmly in case of the twats two doors door having a party.
