Does anyone remember this from 1997?

When the office came out in 2000 I can remember asking people if they remember the police docusoap that I watched Ricky Gervais I while I was up feeding my baby. No one since has remembered it so I'm thinking that I must have been making it up. I can see it so clearly though. I can't find anything on Google about it. I'm hoping that I'm not the only one.

It would have been in 1997 I saw it hence the title. I should have included that.

Gervais wasn't on TV in 1997 as was only just making a name for him self on XFM.

The only police comedy I can think of around that time was Thin Blue Line with Rowan Atkinson, could it be that?

Was it Operation Good Guys?

Are you sure? His IMBD lists nothing like that. His first TV credits are in 1998 as a writer for the 11 O Clock Show. He did a number of TV sketch shows after that...maybe one was a police sketch?

I think I must have mixed it all up. It could have been operation good guys but it doesn't look familiar.

It wasn't the thin blue line I don't think.
