What to get for dinner (eating out)

I'm going to the cinema later and that means I'll have to grab dinner out, on my own. I have about £10 to spend, and I'll be in a busy place with almost every imaginable cuisine available. I fancy something light and healthy after all the Christmas stodge. What should I eat? :)

(I can stretch it to £15 at a push and will only be drinking tap water)

Thai green curry

RJnomore1 · 29/12/2019 13:52

Greek salad?

Sleepyquest · 29/12/2019 13:54

Nandos? No chips

midsomermurderess · 29/12/2019 14:04

Wagamama.

AnUnhealthyMind · 29/12/2019 14:06

Definitely not Nandos (the rub they sell in tesco for £1 is amazing and kicks the arse of eating there). I don't especially like Greek salad. Normally love a Thai curry but not today... I do like a Wagamama but it would be hard not to order the katsu curry, which is miles away from being a lighter option!

Subway salad

What about Lebanese? Maybe Yalla Yalla if you are in London.

iklboo · 29/12/2019 14:32

Sushi
Jacket potatoes & toppings
Subway salad
Pasta
Soup & a roll

DonPablo · 29/12/2019 14:33

Sushi!

Kote · 29/12/2019 14:37

Leon do nice salads and not too pricey

Gonewiththemadness · 29/12/2019 14:43

Maybe a buffet style place? And go for all the salads and maybe a few protein bits?
Not sure where you are but I’d suggest somewhere like foodilic in Brighton. It’s delicious and fits into the budget Smile

I'm not near Yalla Yalla, sadly. I worked beside their very first branch, so so good. There's a Comptoir Libanais (?sp), so Lebanese could work.

Sushi is a funny one. Very little in the way of veg, unless you buy edamame or something.

Not sure if I'm near a Leon but that's a good call too.

Sushi never fills me.

Ninkanink · 29/12/2019 14:52

Have three side dishes in wagamama’s Instead - I love the squid! Plus some veg and a soup?

Heismyopendoor · 29/12/2019 14:52

Go and enjoy the Katsu 😋

Ninkanink · 29/12/2019 14:53

Oops missed the bit about the budget...it’s been a while but I’m guessing that won’t quite stretch to three sides at Wagamama’s!
