Beldray vacuum cleaners. Are they any good ?

I need a new vac. Nothing fancy and under £100.00 if possible. I have a small one-bedroom flat so I don't need a huge dust chamber or big battery capacity.

I saw a Beldray for £60.00 in a local shop this morning. Looked ok but I'd appreciate any advice and opinions. Thankyou.

Anyone ? Dyson too expensive, Hoover not the brand they were. I'd happily settle for a 1975 Hoover Junior.

My mum brought one and she loves it. I've used it and it reasonably light, very good suction and I think she paid £85, so £60 is a brilliant price. Dyson breaks easily imo and are not worth the money

Thankyou Golden. I'd never heard of Beldray until today.

Beldray vacuum cleaners are in the sale in Tesco.A cylinder one was £45,stick corded about £29 and cordless about £59.Was very tempted, and in a rose gold limited colour!

Thankyou Caramel . I saw a cordless stick model in Boyes. Didn't notice the colour but the model name begins with A.

The Beldray cordless stick one is on sale in B&M for £40. I just saw it today and wondered if it was any good?

I'm very tempted to buy one myself at that price. It works brilliantly on carpets as well as hard floors and I think she said it had 45 mins when charged but I'll ask her.

I bought an Airgility model today and so far, so good. It had a lot to prove on its debut as it had to remove all the dirt that the old Electrolux couldn't deal with (I emptied the dirt chamber twice and have already rinsed the filter!) but it managed. Perhaps not as powerful as a corded model but I can't complain for sixty quid. I think frequent use might be best so it's not overwhelmed.

It took two and a half hours to charge fully.
