Where to stay in London..no idea

We are thinking of going to London next year for NYE with dc (7 and 10 years). I have no idea where to stay.
Is there any hotels where we could maybe watch fireworks from the windows or right in the centre of everything?

The Savoy Hotel is opposite the London Eye. As is the county hall Marriott. To get a river view of the fireworks you would pay around £2000 for a room.

The County Hall Premier Inn is right by the river and eye. Could be a good option.

I think hotels in the centre could be pricey.

Maybe try somewhere like The Tavistock hotel (which I got from a mn recommendation) and travel to a good location. It’s at Russell Square so central-ish.
