Freezing shepherds pie, oven cook before or not.?

I’m batch cooking a load of shepherds pie for the freezer. I’ve cooked the sauce, made the mash and assembled.

I’m now confused, do I need to cook the pies as if we were eating them now and let them cool, then freeze, or do I freeze them as they are and defrost, then cook in the oven later?

Don't oven cook them first, just freeze.

Freeze them now. Defrost before cooking or they can take ages.

Thanks. I’ll cook one now as it’s for tea tomorrow, then will be easy to keep in fridge and reheat.

I love batch cooking, 5 dinners now prepped for the (time) price of one!
