If it smelt of ammonia and 'on the turn' then no way, but if it smells fresh then yes, certainly cook it till the juices are clear.

Yeah. Something being one day out never bothers me. I always feel that shops are over cautious to avoid getting sued. I don't know exactly how far I would stretch that theory, but one day for sure would be fine.
