London lunch

Meeting a relative in London on Tuesday and she wants to take me for lunch, don't see her very often and would like to treat her to somewhere nice! I don't really know london at all but we will be centrally based most of the day. She is quite a foodie so any recommendations much appreciated!

We like any of the restaurants in Shepherd Market that we've been to.

We were recommended to try Signor Sassi last time we were London, that was good, pricey though and I'm not going to say it was the best Italian food I've ever had, but it was very good.

I say this so often on Mumsnet - Brasserie Zedel. Nice food, good service, feels quite special without being horrifyingly expensive.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm hoping I've not left it too late to book somewhere! A friend has just suggested tredwells - anyone any exp if there?

Bibendum set lunch menu (3 choices, 2 or 3 courses), fabulous and not too expensive and a wonderful location.

Plus iconic building.
