Not for me but a friend. She is an alcoholic and recovering cocaine addict. She is in recovery for alcohol as well, and with the help of family and friends is doing much better. Kids are well loved and cared for, not always to the same 'standards' as many but we are all different.
Apparently just before Christmas someone anonymously reported concerns to the primary school her kids go to, focussing mainly on the fact that she must have been driving them to school drunk etc but also stating about the cocaine etc. Apparently school spoke to her and reassured her that she was a great mum and that they had no concerns.
Presumably this was passed to local social work team as they were in touch, they also visited and said they had no concerns as children were clearly happy etc. Told her that she was a great mother etc.
So she is reassured, but also worried. Will this stay on a record somewhere? Will they expect to check in? I don't have any real experience but can only go on what I see of her as a person, which is that while I wouldn't make the same choices as her, her kids are loved and cherished etc.
