George Michael's sister has died.

Just read George Michael's sister died on Christmas Day, the same day as him 3 years previously.

It's on the BBC News website, but to be honest, I don't know why. Let the family grieve in private.

It's news because it's the same day on which her world famous brother died,, just 3 years earlier. SO sad for the Panayiotou family.

pasanda I was talking about the BBC putting it on their website, not about it being mentioned on Mumsnet, hence the word 'Mumsnet' not featuring in my post.

Why is it even news?

People die every day and don’t get a mention but because your brothers famous bbc news coverage why?

Someone’s death is sad for the family but I don’t get the news coverage

She was 55 ,which in my world is very young to die .
