Chagos Islands, what do you think?

I don't know the history of these islands but guess the courts and lawyers at the UN do. Seems to me we should follow this ruling and return them. Anyone know differently?

There are lots of complex issues about this.....

I would think the main problem is the atoll of Diego Garcia. It’s a major military base for the Americans.

Also why does Mauritius want it? When it was discovered back in the 1700s it was uninhabited.

My guess would be the Americans pay a lot of rent and Mauritius wants the money?

I don't know anything really about these islands but think if the UN say we should return them, then we should return them. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the US then refused to leave if they were asked to my Mauritius.
