Quick question: will my Amazon Echo work abroad?

I bought an Echo as a present for my goof friends who live in Spain and don’t speak English. Can I set it up so Alexa speaks Spanish and the setting, etc, can be operated in Spanish?

I tried buying the Echo through Amazon Spain but it’s sold out.

I dunno about the language but it does work abroad, I take mine on holiday with me.

When you turn it on it goes through all the languages so will be fine I'm sure!

And I just checked. You can pick Spanish as the language on the app.
