I’ve just accidentally paid for my &OtherStories online order by Klarna! What the heck is this and will it affect my credit score?

No. It's a buy now pay later thing. Won't affect your credit score at all.

Dipsydoodle · 27/12/2019 13:49

How did you do that?! Didn't you have to fill in a load of information and sign up to the credit agreement, etc?

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 27/12/2019 13:49

It's something like Paypal. I pay for my DS's school locker via Klarna. It's not so widely known but approved.

No forms, credit checks or anything. I didn’t even mean to. I just wanted to use my debit card. I hit Continue as I thought that would take me to the payment page but it appears Klarna was selected by default so the next page just said thanks for your order!

Ah perhaps you can just use it to pay normally like
PayPal then. It's mostly used for credit I think.

I did that a while ago on Asos, i was placing a large order of about 8 dresses as I needed one for a wedding. I sent 7 back and wasn’t charged at all, only for the one I kept.
It’s a buy now, pay later thing.
I wouldn’t use it for normal ordering but on this occasion I didn’t want to fork out £800 on dresses to then have to wait weeks for them to refund me for what I sent back!

Actually I’ve just been on their website and read the FAQs and it looks kinda cool!! Oh well, you learn something new every day Smile
