Do you make any?

If so, what are yours for 2020?

Mine are:
To complete the London to brighton challenge in may I'm training for.

To completely de clutter the kitchen.

To put £1 in a tin everytime I go out for a run.

( I'd also like to learn to play the flute but I doubt that will happen😂)

Jess - those are fantastic resolutions! I like the £1 particularly.

Mine are:

  1. round up my expenditure to the nearest £10 every time I shop and save the money / use it to pay off credit card
  2. make a linen coat -I bought the materials for since last summer
  3. get to grips with VAT I have to do my first return this spring and I need to get a good software package to help me do it.
  4. continue to run three times a week
  5. make a meal 4 week meal plan and budget better on food /cut food waste.
  6. get a house clearance company around to declutter- the house is packed to the gills with crap!

Bit of a boring one but: I will not buy anything new unless it is replacing something old or is absolutely necessary.

I don't spend a lot on non-essentials anyway but I'm on a low wage and the debt is building, and a few quid here and there soon adds up. Hoping it will make a difference.

I will spend more quality time with my immediate family and parents.

I will donate more to charity.

I will read more. I tend to start the year off well then it dwindles with time.

I will take up gymnastics again.

Will sort the garage out.

Kemosabeimalone - thank you! I'm up and down with running and have the last 2 months been running 3 times a week after being very on and off with it, do I'm with you on that one, love the idea of the 4 week meal plan, think I will pinch that idea 😂 I need a skip for all the crap in my house. Wish I could et someone to do it for me😂

Jamburglar - well done, you're so good for doing that, I'm always buying stuff I don't need.

OneKeyAtATime - I'm with you on the reading, start off great, then I just don't do it anymore - can't seem to get into it lately. Good luck with the sorting of the garage!

To eat the fruit I grow in the garden!
Not helped by the DCs not being keen on it Hmm

Have more fun.

Be more groomed.... but I am crap at the latter so for this year I am concentrating on Hair. keeping it trimmed, clean, dyed and stylish.

Next year will be something else.

Give up mumsnet and use the time for useful stuff!!!!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 27/12/2019 17:11

God, loads!

Mine are:
Eat less meat, cut dairy, quit sugar and drink less alcohol and coffee

Not be such an obsessive runner and do something else instead (considering joining a gym)

To take better care of my teeth. I am suffering from my teenage years of drinking, smoking, recreational drug use and self induced vomiting, and it's costing me a small Fortune.

To fathom out the wretched I-cloud and sort out 15 years of photographs. I cannot believe that it can be as difficult as I am currently finding it to back up files from a laptop into the cloud, and to take photos from my iPhone.

Get off Facebook and mumsnet.

To embrace the last few months of my Ds being at home 2 days a week. I currently do jobs and other chores with him but I'm determined to do 'Monday funday' with him as he is my last baby and I know I will regret not using the time more wisely.

I love new year resolutions. I always make, and usually keep them!!
