Work when dealing with a emergency

My little girl was rushed to hospital yesterday, she had RSV bronchiolitis and also a chest infection, she is currently on oxygen and iv fluids.
She is at the age where she keeps pulling the oxygen tube out (she is 18 months) so someone needs to be with her constantly to stop that, now she isn't going to be out before the middle of next week, I have work Sunday and Monday- does anyone know whether i can take some kind of paternal leave? Thanks

Sorry about your little girl. One of my children has had that and it's nasty.

You are entitled to take parental leave: www.gov.uk/parental-leave

Sorry to hear your DD is ill. You should be able to take emergency dependant's leave - whether this is paid or unpaid will depend on your employer's policy. I hope she is better soon.

Thank you so much for the replies, @ScreamingValalalalahLalalalah @Clymene she is very much touch and go still, so the last place I want to be is at work!
