Top 10 dinners

Please feel free to skip the unnecessary story, and head straight to my actual question, lower down Grin

In a bid to start off my New Year resolution of becoming organised in the kitchen, Ive printed off a sheet on which everyone can write down their top 10 meals (I know Blush)
Think the idea is supposed to be an at glance thing for meal planning.
Thing is, it's actually not as simple as it seems. It's taking me forever to try and figure mine out.

Could you name your top 10 straight away, or would you need to think about it?

Roast chicken, mash, veg, yorkies.
Macaroni cheese with tomatoes cooked through it.
Thai curry, prawn or chicken with loads of veg with rice or noodles.
Home made nandos with either chips and salad or dirty rice.
Pasta with home made tomato and veg sauce.

Lazy meal is a mama tom yum noodle soup packet made with spring onions and poaching an egg in the broth as the noodles cook.

I can't think of any more, I really need to sort out my meals in the New Year as I've fallen into a lot of bad habits. We are sick of the peri peri chicken as we have had it so often and I'm really struggling to know what to cook.

Meals that everyone will eat every part of with no complaining:
Pasta and pesto
Pasta and tomato sauce
Pizza
Roast dinner, chicken is preferred
Any kind of burger
Jacket potatoes with different toppings and salads
Chicken Kievs, chips and peas/salad
Any kid of curry with rice or chapatis
Stir fry and noodles or rice, as long at it is chicken or quorn, with approved veg, usually carrots, edamame and broccoli

There are lots of other things I make that I end up adapting for one person, such as salmon pasta which DD hates so I put pesto on hers. Hate doing this but if I didn't we would eat a much narrower range of meals and she is getting less fussy as she gets older so hopefully it won't be forever.

Salmon and prawns in creamy white wine sauce with boiled potatoes and veg
Thai yellow curry with tilda lime and coriander rice
Beef and been chili with rice

These are more winter foods though as in the summer we tend to eat more grilled meat/fish/halloumi and salad or do big mixed salads like chicken caesar, tuna nicoise or pear/beetroot, goats cheese and walnuts. Also quiches/flans/fajitas again served with salad

In winter I also use the slow cooker a fair bit for stews and casserole type dishes, often served with mash and peas.

I also try to cook a new dish from a cookery every weekend to mix things up a bit - could be anything from a main meal to cake/biscuits. Some are fab - some are never agains but it all adds to the fun

Seems it's just me struggling for my top 10. Lots of ideas on here that I may pinch though.

Interesting about the summer / winter difference of top 10.

I can't think of any more, I really need to sort out my meals in the New Year as I've fallen into a lot of bad habits. We are sick of the peri peri chicken as we have had it so often and I'm really struggling to know what to cook

Yes, this is exactly why I've done this too. It gets a bit same old otherwise, I find.
