Mil Christmas present. (Light-hearted)

My mil is nearly 91, still lives in her own home. We asked what she would like for Christmas. ( Can't give presents as she hates flowers, chocolate or clothes)

She has always hated us spending money on her. She gives more than she receives.

She has asked us to buy potted meat and slab cake from M&s. Our GC have bought her Dove body wash, great grandchildren have dusted and polished her home,
then hoovered.

She is so pleased we have all done that.

When I read on here how some mil act I grateful for her.

Unfortunately she is going downhill, this might be her last Christmas.

It is great to hear such positivity regarding your lovely MIL.
I had my (89 yo) MIL here for a couple of nights over Christmas. I know she likes “things to look forward to”, so I got her some tickets (to include me and DH) to a local theatre. We will incorporate a nice meal somewhere along the line. My DC are taking her out for an afternoon tea. MIL seemed thrilled.
We have her for Christmas every other year and I have just been comparing photos from two years ago to today’s. She has aged markedly and it has made me realise time is flying past.
