How often do you clean your rings?

Boring subject but genuinely curious. My engagement ring is a diamond, seems to catch all the soap and dirt in the setting underneath, if I don’t clean it every week it looks cloudy and dull, though I often leave it longer. My wedding ring is also diamond and needs cleaning a lot. Are other people cleaning their rings this much and it’s just never mentioned?

The jeweller that my ring came from said to make sure you expose your ring to as much water as possible, so don't take off when showering etc. They said to avoid touching the diamond as they retain grease, and clean regularly with hot water, washing up liquid and an electric toothbrush. I have to admit I don't do it that often but when I do I love how much the diamond sparkles!
