N Wales coast - anything open?!

We will be coming along the A55 on Saturday morning, turning off down toward Bodnant Gardens. We want to stop at the coast somewhere on the way - is anywhere likely to have anything open? Just a cafe or anything. We want the kids to have a run round on the beach or along a prom. Not sure where is best in December! Any ideas please?

If you carry on past the Bodnant turning for 7 or so miles you come to llanfairfechan where there is a decent beach cafe that (according to the website) is open on sat 10-5pm.
Easy to park up and lots of space to run around on the beach.

They’ll be plenty open in Llandudno. Amusements on the pier, walk the prom, the Great Orme, cable cars, artificial ski slope with toboggans and crazy golf, tram or drive up the Orme with cafe, crazy golf, play area. If you just want to stretch your legs and blow off the cobwebs Colwyn Bay or Rhos on Sea proms both have cafes, beach, play areas and are literally minutes off the A55 and back on without having any detour off your route.

Thank you both, I appreciate it. I will.give the choice to my husband, who used to live in the area - apparently without picking up much knowledge about where we can stop!
