Christmas jumper on boxing Day

Is it odd to wear a (tasteful) Christmas jumper on Boxing Day or should we put them away now until next year? I know some jumpers are awful but mine really is nice - honest! 😉

I'll probably be wearing mine in the house all year! It really cosy

PristineCondition · 26/12/2019 15:45

It's still the Christmas period, it's fine.

Sunnydaysrock · 26/12/2019 15:45

Me and my Dsis are wearing Christmas jumpers. And we're all going to the pub soon. It's still Christmas, wear it proudly!

It's completely fine IMO. Do you still have your decorations up? Still watching Christmas TV and films? Still eating leftovers and too much chocolate? Then it's still Christmas and it's absolutely fine.

isittheholidaysyet · 26/12/2019 15:46

In my culture Christmas starts on the 25th and goes on for at least 12 days.

So yes, wear it. (Even if it's not tasteful)

(My 10 year old has been wearing Christmas socks all year, though. I don't know why. So I might not be the best person to ask!)

DramaAlpaca · 26/12/2019 15:47

It's traditionally Christmas right up until 6th January, so I reckon you're fine Grin

MrsJBaptiste · 26/12/2019 15:58

Well good as these are all my feelings! Our Christmas will continue until NY Day then we're back at work. However so many people seem to think that once Christmas Day is over then that's it all over and done with. Bloody Bah Humbug to them! 🌲

Christmas jumpers are still fine for boxing day!

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 26/12/2019 16:01

Me and DD have matching Christmas dresses, we still have 3 more Christmas days to wear them to, one isn't until 2nd January Xmas Smile

Jackrussellsarecute · 26/12/2019 16:01

It’s still Christmas! Definitely ok

maddiemookins16mum · 26/12/2019 16:04

I’m wearing mine. I won’t wear after tomorrow though.

GorkyMcPorky · 26/12/2019 16:05

Why would you even need to ask?!

Trews2019 · 26/12/2019 16:08

Not if you’re the woman from yesterday who has Christmas over and done with by 1pm on Christmas Day.

PrettyShiningPeople · 26/12/2019 16:11

Contrary to those on here, who put trees up in November etc..., would have you believe, along with the shops who are running down Christmas stock by the 20th Dec , Christmas has only just started!! So crack on and get some wear out if it.

BlackKittyKat · 26/12/2019 16:19

I'm currently wearing my Christmas jumper. I'm going to wear on NYE too 🤭

SwingingBy · 26/12/2019 17:13

You can wear it every day of the year if you wish.

NeutralJanet · 26/12/2019 17:16

I'm wearing mine today but once it's been through the wash it will be put away until next year.

daisypond · 26/12/2019 17:18

Christmas period has only just started. It’s fine to wear your jumper. It goes on until 6 January. In some countries, Christmas Day is actually 7 Jan.

Meegeemoogee · 26/12/2019 17:31

@Trews2019 I missed that post. I'm guessing that poster wasn't just bragging about having the lunch served and cleared up by one?

MarySidney · 26/12/2019 17:34

You go on wearing it until it needs washing, surely?

RoseMartha · 26/12/2019 17:51

Oldraver · 26/12/2019 17:55

Well Mark Darcey was wearing his in the Bridget Jones boxing day buffet so clearly acceptable!

Rockbird · 26/12/2019 18:08

We're in Christmas clothes today but I'm putting mine away tomorrow. I work in a school so have been in Christmas clothes since the middle of December and I'm sick to death of them! Am longing to get back into something normal Xmas Grin
