Aargh - is there no way you can get out of the car trip?

LiviaSoprano · 26/12/2019 12:20

I'm in the car now. 25 mins to go. 🤢

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! sorry to shout 🤣 either try to be sick now or eat something and see if that helps. Take some bags and spare cloths and stop lots for fresh air. Glad you had a good Christmas 😉

LiviaSoprano · 26/12/2019 12:53

Vommed in a lay-by

That's good - you should start to feel better now. Make sure you keep hydrated, though.

LiviaSoprano · 26/12/2019 12:55

But I am HOME!

I'm on the sofa under a blanket with the football on. DH heating me some leftover roasties. Quite rightly since I hold him fully responsible for my condition since he suggested negronis after champagne and red wine. Not my fault at all.

I'm never leaving my house or drinking again.

Ask your DH to make up your bed with lovely fresh bedding tonight - you'll sleep like a log.

Evilspiritgin · 26/12/2019 12:59

Yep dh fully responsible, chances are you’d have been unwell after mixing red wine and champagne 🤢

LiviaSoprano · 26/12/2019 13:09

Nah if was definitely the negronis Wink

9ofpentangles · 26/12/2019 13:11

The roastiesGrin

LiviaSoprano · 26/12/2019 13:14

I really am a complete idiot. Am I the only one suffering today? Is nobody else hopelessly rough?

OP posts:
Feelingfestivenow · 26/12/2019 13:17

Me!

I feel your pain, great night last night though, cocktails, dam things every bloody time, by now I should know

9ofpentangles · 26/12/2019 13:18

I am a bit. Gotta do it all again in a minute. Hair of the dog and you'll be fineGrin

This was me yesterday. Fortunately just the two of us for Christmas Day and DH was suffering as badly as me. We had some neighbours over for a “quiet drink” on Christmas Eve and rather overdid the champagne.

A bacon sandwich and a nap fixed us right up. Christmas lunch became Christmas supper and all was well!

I held DH fully responsible too. He kept opening bottles.

Hope you feel better soon.

maddiemookins16mum · 26/12/2019 13:22

Not me but then I’m a recovering alcoholic and have been there, believe me.
Hope you feel better soon.

TrixchangeK · 26/12/2019 13:33

Joining the hungover club. Mixed prosecco, champagne, cider and baileys. On what planet did that seem clever BlushXmas Envy (definitely not envy!)

I was sick in the night and thankfully feel better today. Got a KFC delivered and full sugar Pepsi is helping Grin

LiviaSoprano · 26/12/2019 13:49

I've just eaten a plate of leftover roasties and I'm on the kettle chips now.

It's going to be a beige food day.

OP posts:
CrazyToast · 26/12/2019 13:50

Yep drank way too much gin and send some over-emotional messages I now regret. Oh dear!

Disillusioneddaisy · 26/12/2019 14:00

I'm in the hangover club too. So much wine and Prosecco was consumed yesterday finished off with a nice half pint of baileys last night 🤮
I had some lovely plans for today but now am just laid hopelessly on the sofa stuffing crisps into my face feeling dire. Only myself to blame. Must not make this mistake again on NYE.

SunshineInMySprocket · 26/12/2019 14:05

I’ve been on the sofa all day feeling dizzy and queasy but sadly due to a bug not alcohol. Managed a small Bucks Fizz with my lunch but that was all. Still can’t face anything so going for a bath now.

LiviaSoprano · 26/12/2019 17:25

Anyone started to recover yet? I'm still dying.

OP posts:
Disillusioneddaisy · 26/12/2019 17:37

Im gradually feeling human again. Have cooked a load of party food for dc and nibbled at some of that. I'm more annoyed at myself for wasting Boxing Day. This is why i rarely drink, it's fun at the time but you spend a day recovering and feeling shit.

Fluffycloudland77 · 26/12/2019 18:53

I’m 42 & have actually said “ooh I like alcohol but it doesn’t like me” a couple of years ago.

Gave up, not worth it.
