2 young children. Seperated from husband for 2 years.
He has them one weekend day , and sees them here a couple if nights a week. My older child, sometimes makes it quite clear that he doesn't want to go. Usually , it's when their dad has has a bit more contact with them. So this is the 3rd day of alternate days. Not really my choice (I'm aware I need to be more confident in making arrangements, I still have the "keep the peace " attitude).
What do you do in this situation? Poor DS just wanted to stay home. He's under the weather, had an exciting few days. I know he will not have a great day (as ex doesn't know how to deal with him if he's being awkard)
He's only 4 and and off sad, with me having to be the one being firm to get them out of the house as their dad just stands by and watches and let's me deal with it. If I'd left it to him they'd still be here. Again, ok if it's the children, not ok having their miserable father frowning at me.
