Football Kits! Where from? (Boys)

I get they’re expensive no matter where you get them from, but it seems like i struggle to get a football kit (shirt, shirts & socks) from just one place! DS is 10 so it has to be separate top, shorts, socks. SportsDirect are usually ok price wise, but in store they’re not too good in stock, or may have the top, but not the shorts or vice versa or not the sizes. JD have no football stuff in store & are dearer online. Actual brands online i.e- Adidas/Nike aren’t much better either dear or no sizes. To make things a bit harder, DS is a bit small for his age but he’s between sizes at the moment so outgrown the 9-10 sizes and the next size only available for football kits it’s is 11-12 which are a bit big.

I’ve seen other websites advertising football kits but are unsure of them. Has anyone else ordered from anywhere else before? I vaguely remember someone saying eBay but I don’t think DH will go for that.

Have you tried Decathlon?
I've bought replica shirts from there before, which were expensive.
Should be cheaper if just getting generic kit

The team you support should have a website. I always buy my ds' kit from the Liverpool site.

I shopped around for DS's new football kit for Christmas and Sports Direct online was the best price I could find. The club's own website was more expensive and had higher delivery charges.

We bought DD's top (yes, girls are allowed to play football) from the local team's shop in the end of year sale as she has a May birthday.
As she is only 5, the unisex tops fit her just fine though we may be looking for a ladies' top if she wants one when she's 15.

sunshineandshowers21 · 25/12/2019 15:31

can you get it from the actual stadium shop? if it’s a local team. that’s where i got my little boy the full kit. or the team’s website.

Kitbag is pretty good, and pretty much always have a discount code available when you sign up to their emails.

eavers · 25/12/2019 15:35

I buy my kids football kits from the club shop. They are half price or less in March every year and i just keep them for birthhdays and christmas.

Comefromaway · 25/12/2019 17:15

If you just want generic, sports direct are the best place. If a team, the club shop.

converseandjeans · 25/12/2019 19:36

Sports direct for generic Adidas or Nike. Mine refuses Sondico!
Usually they would have a team so order from club shop? DS plays for a team which sells merchandise like hoodies & so on.

Thanks everyone for the replies. Managed to order full kit from sports direct, had a look in store but as always they had the top but not shorts.

Boring. Xmas Hmm

youvegottobekidding · 28/12/2019 09:46

Well I say we managed to order the kit, but unfortunately they haven’t managed to deliver it! Paid £7 for next day delivery & it never came! I sent an email but was basically told they were ‘busy’. Granted they may be busy at this time, but surely if they anticipate that they will be busy, they should either organise themselves better or not have the option for next day delivery, but no, happy to take peoples money for a service they can not provide. My order is still processing!

I buy direct from the team.

drspouse · 28/12/2019 10:07

@Quirrelsotherface why boring? The OP said BOYS football kit. Girls and boys wear the same football kit up to a certain age. Why would the OP not say CHILDREN'S football kit?
Or am I not allowed to talk about girls playing football, is this wrong now?

ExpletiveFairylighted · 28/12/2019 10:14

We buy direct from the club too, subscribe to emails so we know when there's a sale on. DS loves going to the club shop.
