So its almost 8am and no-one is up yet?

7yo and 5yo were up until about 10pm so I hoped for a bit of a lay-in.

2yo came into bed with us about 6.30am and I've been awake ever since. Even the cat is asleep.

Wake up people, it's Christmas. I'm excited

I’m up with my little 8 week old who is drifting off again on my chest as I watch TV. Excited for his first Christmas even though he has no clue what is going on. Waiting for my DH to get up but don’t want to wake him as he did the night feed but I’m just so excited to open all his presents from his Aunts and Uncles on DHs side. We are off to my Mums later where we will do presents from my side.

My 5yo is still asleep lol I'm finishing my tea then waking him as I'm to excited to wait anymore

First time I have been up before the kids!
I have that rotten cold going around so woken up by coughing at 7.
Teens still asleep. Last year despite thier age they were still through to my room with thier stockings by now!😀

Sat with cuppa watching 'The Hogfather' 😄 Have headache so can't even open the fizz😞
Oh well will enjoy the quiet and nap later.😀

I woke up at 7 45 and made dh a cup of tea and am now downstairs dresses waiting for dh and adult ds to come down to have breakfast. Dh has been suffering from food poisoning so not able to eat Christmas dinner this afternoon.

Going to church at 10 30 when I will see dd, sil, and 2 and half year old dgs who is so exited about Christmas this year.

I was up at 5am.
Had a hot chocolate,put turkey in slow cooker (main oven died the other day but top oven and hob still works)
And promptly went back to bed.
Got up 15 minutes ago and now sat with a coffee listening to christmas songs and pottering online.

My 7 year old came through just before 4! We got up just before 5.

DH and I are awake over an hour but no sign of DD yet- have just remarked that we will have to get up and make some noise

I haven't got to sleep yet, but hubby and I are mainly on our own today - yay (oldies), but we are having a meal out with the family tomorrow. Happy Christmas to you all 🥳

I've been awake since just after 3! I was so excited, I managed to wait until 5 before waking the kids.

I'm tired already though so am going to walk the dogs to try and wake up a bit.

They eventually woke up about 8.30. DD1 came down to see if FC had been, but toddler twins were completely made up because someone had parked a white van opposite the house. They haven't stopped alternately saying hello to it and growling at it.

They are much less interested in their presents!

Told mine last night I'll be waking them up at 10.30am. I'm bored already (been awake since 6).

Been awake since 7, DP and DSS still very much asleep. I need to leave to go to my parents' soon, and they are going to my partner's parents' then I'll meet them there later .. don't even think they will be up before I go! I don't mind though!

I woke up at 6.30 and lasted til 7.45 when I woke the rest of the house up.

There's no kids here. I'm 35.

My 3 year old woke us up at 3:40am. No chance of him staying in bed or is getting back to sleep. Today is going to be a long day.

We have movement from DH who will get DCs up. Finally. I came close to blasting Noddy Holder through Alexa following the earlier threat of Mariah.

My dh is up and I appreciate he is ill but he is making weird I'm dying noises and talking about his achy bones
