Hi mummies im new to this group but i just need advice please ill apologise now for the long post. I found out i was pregnant last Wednesday which they worked out im about 5 to 6 weeks, i was on different medication for things but had to stop taking the straight away which i did, anyway one off these medications was bisoprolol 10mg simce wednessday i was cut down to 2.5mg then today had nothing i suffer with sinus tachycardia thats why i was on the bisoprolol. Well today at 5pm i rang the doctor an now they ha e prescribed labetalol 50mg this is not for high blood pressure just beacuse i have a fast heart rate, im so nervous to take them and coming off the bisoprolol isnt easy. Has anyone been on this medication so early on in pregnacy and everything be ok? Im petrified this is going to cause abnormalities and everything else. Please can i have some advice from you lovely mummius and just want to wish you all merry chirstmas xx

Hi, I took labetalol in pregnancy for essential hypertension, everything was absolutely fine. I was on nifedipine pre and post pregnancy and there wasn't a problem with it but I actually preferred labetalol because it made me feel quite zen!

I was on labetalol (for high blood pressure) from before conception all the way through pregnancy until my healthy baby was born five and a half months ago. Before being on beta blockers, I lost every pregnancy I conceived.

Merry Christmas and I hope you have a health, happy pregnancy!
