Flucloxacillin for infection

I have had large painful lymph nodes in my groin for the last few days and a swollen painful vulva that’s just come up this morning, it’s so bad I can’t sit down! I went to the doctor yesterday (before the vulva swelling came up, just the groin glands) and he put me on flucloxacillin for a skin infection, will this take down the vulva swelling too?

Most likely.

I get bartholins abscesses and gartner cysts all the damn time and most of the times flucloxacillian works.

Though, to warn you, on the times it didn't work I needed surgery to drain and marsupialise the abscess!
