Queen's Speech

Watching the paper review on Skye. They are discussing the Queen's Christmas Speech. Why on earth are the contents already published? Why can't people wait to hear it until it is broadcast on Christmas Day?

I never watch the Queen’s speech but I’d make an exception this year if she spills the beans about Prince Andrew and William’s alleged affair with Rose thingy. Come on, queenie. Keep the subjects engaged. After all, we regularly hear that you rule with our consent.

If the contents are already public I assume somebody has decided to trail the interesting (relatively) bits so that more people will watch it. A bit like TOWIE and Emmerdale do.

Who actually watches the Queen’s speech? Under the age of 70, I mean.
