A1 is dual carriageway only after Scotch Corner, then single carriageway after Felton. A bit more dual carriageway near Alnwick, then more single carriageway.

But John’s Adult Books is very close to the A1 in Gateshead, literally a minute or 2 off it. I say “is” it’s many years since I drove along there.

No, there's a sex shop on the A12. Essex Man can do Sex as well as Midlands Man. (I don't know if they can actually DO sex as well as each other, since I am limited to Kent Man but anyhoo that's another thread)

Yes, the Llama Karma Kafe (sic) is in the A66, a few mins from the M6. It is it as exciting as it sounds, abd the car park is always rammed.

But then again, there are some in the next village to us, so I can go for a walk to see them whenever I want to.

The sex shops are on the A1, because they're out of the way and there's less risk of bumping into someone you know there. Plus they're probably in cheap locations compared to high street/retail park.

There are llamas at the Llama Karma Kafe, and a Bush Baby, a massive rabbit and I think some Koi carp. Maybe some parakeets ? The cafe has a small garden with some cages and aviaries and a llama paddock.
