Cold with dizziness

Need talking down pls (health anxiety sufferer)

Is one of the many cold bugs/viruses making people dizzy?

My eyes are very red and sore and I have ear pain. I've had a bit of a cold/headache/temp all week but unlike dh and dcs, no major snot or sore throat. Lots of post nasal drip though and sinuses feel sore.

I feel dizzy and a bit sick. Not all the time but occasionally. Felt like this a few months ago and put it down to a virus and it went away. Now it's back I am panicking that it's something horrid because my anxiety is v bad at the moment.

Tell me I'm being stupid please

Yes. Ive got exactly the same.......my.ears are blocked which is.causing.the dizziness. It's a sinus bug. Try taking some sudafed and having a.lie down. It feels horrible but isn't anything serious.

Yep, dd had something similar last week. Rest and decongestants for a few days. All fine now.

Thank you - having a bad few days anxiety wise and lost ability to be rational!

Fredy45 I'm used to it as I.suffer with my sinuses a lot but they can feel pretty scary if you haven't had one before.

If you have any Vicks or olbas oil put some in boiling water and steam your face with a towel over your head. It can help clear your sinuses and relieve the pressure a bit.

Obviously take deep breaths whilst doing it. Don't just steam your face off 😂😂😂

I know how you feel , I get blocked ears , dizziness and normally lose my voice too .
Strangely a don't often feel ill as such.
As PP said breathing in Vick steam can make you feel better but keep your eyes shut as the vapid can sting a bit.

I normally start to recover after about 7 or 8 days and back up to speed after about 14 days but it .can be longer sometimes .
