Parcel stuck at previous house

We sold our house 3 years ago. The buyers were a nightmare. We fell out. Not a problem until a parcel I ordered last week was delivered to that house. I hadn't updated my address on H&M website ( was rushing). My DH has been round to the house 3 times but they do not come to answer the door. Can I do anything about this or do I just have to accept I'm not going to get my parcel back?

The retailer hasn't made a mistake, they delivered the parcel to where you asked them to. You'll just need to keep trying the house. Maybe they are all at work during the day or perhaps they have gone away. It's strange they took the delivery in the first place but perhaps the courier didn't mention a name. Did you put a card though the door so they can contact you when they get home?

What a pain, OP. Could you put a polite note through, maybe in a Christmas card through explaining there's been a mistake with a present and asking for a convenient time to call? Perhaps be a bit conciliatory, say you hope all is going well etc.
