I'm finally finished mine! Four hours, and now I'm relaxing with a sherry.

DH has gone to bed with his tail between his legs after he dared suggest I could wrap his presents he's bought his family. I "politely" informed him there was no chance I was doing any more wrapping.

QuantumWeatherButterfly · 23/12/2019 23:36

I thought I was done. I was euphoric. Then DH reminded me there's another panic bought gift arriving tomorrow, his Dad's birthday gifts to do (which I know I could strop about and make DH do himself, but then they'd look shite, and everyone will assume it was me that screwed it up anyway. Either way - family birthdays over the Christmas break are a pain in the bum), and the horrible realisation I haven't wrapped DH's gifts either. So bang goes my smugly relaxing Christmas Eve.

CornedBeef451 · 23/12/2019 23:37

I did all mine in cloth this year and it was actually much easier. No need for sellotape, just some re used lengths of ribbon and bits of wool to tie on labels made from last year's cards.

Some of them look a bit of a mess but no worse than my late night (tipsy) wrapping of previous years. Plus I don't have to worry about filling up the recycling as it all goes back in a box for next time.

In a dilemma about stockings though, I usually use themed paper per child but haven't bought any so have to figure something out tomorrow.

mynameisigglepiggle · 23/12/2019 23:50

For the first time ever I'm done!!! I'm usually manically wrapping on Christmas Eve night so I can't quite believe it!!!
Took a day off work earlier this week purely just to wrap!!
I do actually like it though. And I wrap everything in the stockings too!!!
Three kids - three different sorts of paper so no labels needed?!
Everyone else I just write on the present!! 🤣

I hate wrapping the presents. I have to force myself to do it, which I did tonight while the DDs were putting the Christmas tree up.

All done now. That's it for another year, thankfully, and I always reward myself with a glass of wine afterwards.

There isn't quite the same volume to it as when my three DDs were very young (they are aged between 24 and 17 now), but it is still always a huge relief to get the job finished.

GuiltyPleasure · 24/12/2019 00:28

Just a few more I said.. it'll only take an hour maximum...4 hours later I'm done!

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 24/12/2019 00:43

I must hate myself. I don’t even have a tape dispenser. And I have all DD’z gifts to pack tomorrow night. Twat.

2018SoFarSoGreat · 24/12/2019 00:55

I have been done for days. Yay me.

Well, apart from the ones that keep getting delivered each day. Then I wrap these, and say I'm done. I have told DH 'I'm done' 3 days in a row. I could see his face (spying on Ring doorbell) each of the three times he opened to take a parcel today. He is shaking his head. A lot :)

Rainallnight · 24/12/2019 07:54

I’m done! Well, apart from DP’s, which won’t take long. I am so proud that I’m not going to be wrapping the Santa presents at midnight on Christmas Eve.

speakout · 24/12/2019 08:19

All finished here. Just stockings to stuff.

I have duplicate stockings so they don't have to be filled on christmas eve night, just swap the empty one for the full one. I've done that since the kids were small.

We3kingsoforientareandabump · 24/12/2019 08:42

The elf takes our stockings to the North Pole a few days before Xmas to be stuffed. Which actually means I do one night and keep them all bagged up and labelled ready to just put out on Xmas eve
