Adult board game

Any recommendations for a board game suited to four adults?

Ideally about an hour maximum to play. We usually play Trivial or cluedo but fancy a change.

Carcassonne? Not exactly a board game, you place tiles to build up an empire, but it's a bit different every time and it takes about 40 mins to play. I'm hopefully getting Secret Hitler for Christmas but that's better with a large group.
