Is vomiting contagious AFTER 2 days?

DS vomiting in the night, will keep him away from everyone for 48 hours after last sick but he really wants to see his grandad over Xmas . Grandad is mid 80s with breathing problems so really needs not to catch this. Is 48! Hours enough or should we wait longer?

As long as you wait 48 hours after the last instance of vomiting it should be fine.

and wash hands well, maybe avoid face kisses.
