Christmas birthdays unite

To all the people having their birthday between 20th Dec and 2nd Jan. I'm with you, lack of gifts and birthday cards. Any event being automatically a Christmas party. Can we join in for a collective moan?

20th here and hate it. Years ago would get messages in Christmas cards saying they hoped I’d had a good birthday as if it was enough to add it as an afterthought. This year I had 2 cards from friends arrive in the build up to my birthday and DH got me cards from him and our 17 week old twins and that was it - nothing from any family members on either side. Can’t go out for dinner as it’s automatically assumed it’s a Christmas celebration and that you want crackers and party hats on the table. In the end I think I’m giving up on it as no one else considers it an important date!!
