Parcel palava this Christmas?

I'm beyond fed up with Getting personal at the moment. They've tried to help on every occasion I've got in contact but it's been a tale of woes from start to finish.
The building details got missed off the order (no idea how) so it couldn't be delivered.

It was returned to them and they promised to redeliver.
2 weeks later they still told me they didn't have it, despite Royal mail tracking info telling me that they had had it since the Monday before.
They offere a refund or redelivery. It's a gift (already 3 weeks late) so I asked for a replacement.
They asked for details of where to send it. I gave them a different address as my work is a school and now shut for a fortnight.
They then sent me an email to say it was on it's way..... to work. Still with the building info missing from the address as it had been in the beginning.

Just shite. Now I have no chance of getting the parcel until early Jan and THEN it will probably be returned to them if the email without the building info is right.

Sigh. I've told my friend it's going to be the latest birthday present she's ever had (Nov birthday!).

It’s jot just Royal Mail, OP. I ordered perishable food in Christmas hampers as gifts for relatives. They were in chiller packs clearly marked perishable. FedEx failed to deliver one of them three times, despite full address and postcode on the parcel. Eventually they delivered it after four days in transit, and SIL had to throw most of it in the bin. Pathetic. And trying to contact them was hopeless- they have a “virtual assistant” online, which fails to understand basic English and simply refers you to a list of FAQs.
I’m advising the hamper company to change couriers, otherwise I won’t be using them again.
