Mumsnet has been great in the past with suggestions, we had a brilliant holiday home in the Lake District this year thanks to a recommendation here. I’d love to mind your collective wisdom again
just me and DH.
Long weekend/short week to Carcassonne - driving from the South East, probably ferry? Where would be good to stop for a day/night on the way there and back? Break up the journey and see more of France. Thinking probably AirBnB in Carcassonne, hotels elsewhere. What’s must see?
Wales? Haven’t been to Wales at all which is shocking. Snowdonia appeals but honestly I’d love suggestions for anywhere. We like lovely nature, period cottages, walking/medium hard hiking (but hoping to be pregnant at some point this year so don’t want to plan around heavy hiking) relaxing, nice food and culture.
Thanks in advance!
