Can someone explain TV options to me?!

I have two TVs. One works off the aerial and I also have a Firestick so I can get iPlayer, Netflix etc etc. The other TV is Virgin Tivo. I only really watch mainstream channels so have come to the conclusion that I don’t really need Virgin. I could just get another firestick. However, I do like to record programmes which is why I’ve kept Virgin but it’s expensive. Is there any other, cheaper way of being able to record?

What do you need to record? If you have bbc iPlayer, all 4, netflix, etc etc you can pretty much watch whatever has been on tv on demand anyway. That’s what we do.
