OMG. I took the oven door apart to clean it and thought I couldn't get it back together again

Whoooooofff I am actually shaking. Cleaning is obviously a step too far for me.

I had visions of a microwave Christmas Xmas Shock

Why would you do that? 😁

I’ve owned ovens for 30 years and never once felt the need to take an oven door apart (Is it an actual thing you’re meant to do)

Ours is designed really badly- there's holes at the top of the door (why yes, that is the technical description) so if you drop anything or anything drips when you're taking it out it slides right down the holes and stains the inside of the oven door.

And my MIL is coming for Christmas. Mrs Hinch is an amateur compared to her.

I wouldn't recommend it as a fun, festive activity though.

Yeah I took the door off as the YouTube video showed it was easy....then had to watch another video on how to get the bigger back on. That video started with ‘if you have been unlucky or daft enough to take your door off....’

I’ve checked my door and it also seems to have holes in the top but thankfully seems to be clean. I’m guessing as I really only cook oven chips and Birds Eye chicken fillets there’s not a lot of drippy sauce/grease potential.
