Im new to it all. Speaking to a guy for a few weeks. He asked me for my number so i gave it to him and hes written back to say he'll text me after Xmas. is that normal for online dating?

Take the online part out of it. How would you feel if a bloke in a pub said that?

Could be perfectly innocent going away visiting family for Christmas and doesn't want to arrange a date before then.

Could be he has a partner he wants to ditch after Christmas. But before arranging date wait you.

I don't understand what you think is odd about it. Can you explain? Is it that you think that's a long time to wait? (I don't think it is and people tend to be busy at Christmas). Or is it something else?

i just think if you're interested a message before xmas would be better. However ive never had a normal relationship so i dont know
