Where to live in the UK?

DH and I have been living in Australia for the past decade and are probably coming back to the UK for work. We’re originally from the south of England (Sussex) and would love to go back but don’t really want to pay south prices when we don’t need to be working in London.

We’re self employed and our company is in the midlands but we will only go there about once a week, rest of the time we’re out and about with customers who are all over the country.

So we were thinking about the countryside around Worcester? We both love the outdoors, have two children who are very sporty, outdoorsy types. We like a nice pleasant town with some nice places to eat, like national trust places, parks, castles etc. We both love pretty countryside and woods etc.

The main thing for me is that it’s a friendly area. I’ve got a nice group of friends here mainly from children’s baby groups and schools and we meet up for morning tea, dinners etc and I love that.

So if you live in that area, would you think it fits the bill? Or can you recommend anywhere else? Thank you Smile

Have you had a look at Towcester and surrounding villages? It's lovely here

Leamington. Lots of nice places to eat, parks, Warwick castle & Stratford upon Avon on your doorstep, and easy commuting to Coventry & Birmingham, and a fast train to London.

Thank you! I’ll have a look at both of those.
