Husband pushed me down in an argument

Today me and my husband fought in the argument it got heated we screamed and said rude things in the middle we got to close to each other and we were yelling and then he just pushed me down to ground I never put my hands on him he always punches the wall breaks doors but never touched me till today am I over reacting?

He shouldn’t have done that but it sounds like a toxic relationship and you should split up. Hope you’re ok

This is domestic violence, just so you know. It doesn’t have to be you that he’s hitting.

You should leave, if you stay he'll escalate the violence.

We’ve had arguments but he’s never got violent.

You're definitely not over-reacting OP. Shouting isn't normal, but punching doors and other inanimate objects definitely isn't. It sounds like a really stressful and horrible environment to live in.

Things will only get worse from here. I hope you're safe and are able to end this.

An ex partner would hit other things and smash windows but then went on to hit me, so I feel this will only get worse, sorry.
