Clarks sizing

I popped into Clarks today, assistant said my left foot is a 7E and my right foot is almost 71/2E
I've been wearing size 8 for 10 years Confused
Has anyone been measured wrong by Clarks?

The size shoe you need depends on the style of shoe and the shape of your foot as well. It's possible that you've been wearing the correct size and were correctly measured.

Are Clarks sizes different?
I've been wearing all brands of shoes, all types for 10 years in size 8 and when I went to another shoe shop a few months back they said size 8 too. Odd

Why would you get your feet measured as an adult ?

@anxioussue ... to get the right size shoes. Is this a trick question?

With an E width you may need a size up in narrower shoes to fit. I'm a G, and by length I'm a 7 but I sometimes need 9s. Clarks 'thing' is having lots of width variants so you can get shoes actually the right size in length and width.

Or they might have just caught you on a small foot day :D

Adults know their size though surely ? I know I need one of two sizes so I try both

PatricksRum · 21/12/2019 05:21

@SpoonBlender a small foot day Grin
That would make sense. Perhaps the width makes me a size 8 in other places. I might try a Clarks size 7 E just to see but whenever I've tried sevens on in other shoes it pains my feet!

@anxioussue Well apparently I didn't know my size. Different shoe shops have different sizes so I took opportunity to measure my adult feet. Hmm

Well, I know I get large foot days, so the corollory must also be true Grin
