Bloody chicken pox, anyone else?

DS came down with it on Wednesday. I thought that he's gotten away with it very lightly because he'd only had two/three spots.

He woke up this morning absolutely covered and screaming.

He just can't seem to rest. He can't stop itching and they're all in his scalp as huge blisters which are looking to be the most painful for him Sad

Does anyone know where I can buy calamine lotion? Have tried oats and it's helped slightly

That's Christmas ruined then!

Oh no! I'm on high alert because my son's nursery had a case recently. Think on the bright side, I think I'd rather one of mine had it over Christmas when you are off work, they have new toys to distract them and you can just relax at home, rather than over summer when you might be due to go on holiday and don't want to be cooped up indoors when the weather is nice.

I have heard that calamine is not recommended any more because it can cause itching when it dries on the skin. You can get it mixed with aqueous I believe from the chemist, or try one of the cooling sprays, I think Virasoothe or Poxcilin. You can also give Piriton to reduce itching. Good luck!

Go to a chemist and get piriton and Eurax cream. Will probably be scabbed over and better by Christmas.
