What would I have been doing now before I had a smartphone?

So frustrated with myself, it’s like I can’t even remember what to do other than scrolling through my phone, or eating :(

Remind me, what can I do that’s constructive?! Not crafts though please...

Reading a magazine or newspaper, I used to devour them when I was a teenager. Used to read books in bed or in the bath mainly.

My mum always had an audiobook on the go in the kitchen while she was cooking and clearing up.

Oy No we don't all have smartphones now. I don't, never had have and don't see the need for one; dh has just retired, given his iPhone back to his employer and got a dumb phone with a SIM from Giff Gaff. He no longer needs to be securely contactable 24/7, so he isn't.

Go for a walk

@MrsIronfoundersson Yes! I try to scroll the page! Usually when I’m immersed in what I’m reading, only to quickly realise that I actually need to turn the page. Glad I’m not the only one Grin.

I listened to the radio, read books and I played a lot of games of patience.

I’d have been watching TV, maybe listening to the radio. I certainly wouldn’t have been doing anything more worthy than being online is. I’d still be meaning to read a good book or phone a relative or clean the bath.
