What age did your Dc watch CBeebies / Milkshake until ?

My DS usually watches a bit of 'milkshake' on C5 and we turn over to CBeebies for hey Duggee in the mornings. But recently he's been saying it's boring his new favourite word. He likes bits and bob, top wing, Paw Patrol still . I've noticed a lot of friends are now into super heroes like Spider-Man, Transformers or want to play PJ masks but he's not seen these. Been to a few 4th birthday parties and cakes have been Batman, Spider-Man etc, they seem so young for this.

Don't know what the other channel options are, we don't have sky.

My daughter was 4 when she started losing interest. She’s 5 now and I don’t think it’s been on our telly once in the last 6 months. But tbh she’s not really a kid who likes tv or screens in general. I wish I could get her to watch a film!!

4 here as well. Which is a shame as I enjoyed Hey Duggee!

I think my son got into spiderman and pj masks around 3ish maybe a bit before. Try tiny pop or pop they're on freeview and shows pj masks, transformers and other things popular with my 5 and 2 year old

My son is three and loves Paw Patrol and Shane the Chef and Thomas and Digby Dragon! We still watch Milkshake in the mornings and he’s been asking for Digby lately.

MonstranceClock · 20/12/2019 07:58

About 3-4

Waxonwaxoff0 · 20/12/2019 07:58

DS was about 3 I think. We started watching Nicktoons, he liked Paw Patrol and Blaze.

He's 6 and a half now and he doesn't watch cartoons any more. All about YouTube now. Sad

DS is 4 in April, still likes cbeebies, he likes playing spiderman and pj masks with his friends but he's not seen spiderman and he finds some pj masks episodes scary. Don't think anyone plays/watches transformers yet.

Older things he likes are Bake Off, documentarys about trains and animal documentarys. Anything with feelings/fighting (eg disney movies!) he's still scared.

CharDeeMacDennis · 20/12/2019 08:59

Quite late, I think, six or seven.

For years after, I kept DS's recordings of Abney and Teal on the Sky box as I couldn't bear to delete them (I am a weirdo about things like that). Then we moved house and that little link to his favourite show as a toddler was gone

whatsyaname · 21/12/2019 08:04

@CharDeeMacDennis I loved DS' brief Sarah & Duck phase.

Now it's the constant asking for something else is less relaxing. Most mornings we don't have time for lots of TV, but it used to give us some time peace.

2.5 she stopped watching both.

Now she likes spongebob

wakemewhenitsallover · 21/12/2019 09:04

For my eldest it was about 4 or 5 I think. But although my 6.5yr old will watch some CBBC programs if I encourage her (eg Operation Ouch) she still prefers Cbeebies shows like Octonauts.

whatsyaname love Sarah and Duck Grin
